Explore traditional animal-sign relationships as a conversation starter.
Animal signs are a starting point
Choose two animal signs that you have already confirmed. In this convention, the animal year begins at Lunar New Year. January and February birthdays need particular care: a calendar year alone can identify the wrong animal.

The result identifies a traditional complementary pair, trine, opposition, shared sign, or unclassified pair. It is not a compatibility percentage. Use it to discuss habits and expectations; shared symbols cannot measure trust, communication, or the quality of a relationship.
Frequently asked questions
Which rules are used?
This simplified animal-sign tool recognizes the four trines (Rat–Dragon–Monkey, Ox–Snake–Rooster, Tiger–Horse–Dog, Rabbit–Goat–Pig), six complementary pairs, and six opposite pairs. It does not calculate Ba Zi, elements, or a scientific relationship score.
How do I find my animal sign?
Select a known animal sign. The Chinese zodiac year changes at Lunar New Year in this convention, not January 1. If you were born in January or February, check the lunar-year boundary before selecting.
Does a clash mean a relationship will fail?
No. These are traditional symbolic categories. Respect, communication, values, and consent matter more than animal signs. Selections are processed locally and never saved.
